Our curriciulum is designed to provide opportunity to promote and develop pupil's personal development and wellbeing. This includes development of their Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural understanding.
Our whole school focus on 5 Ways to Wellbeing unerpins much of the curriciulum and is implemented to ensure that children understand the impact on their own mental and physical health from being physically active, taking notice of their environment and the people they share it with, giving their time and effort to help others, the enjoyment of learning new things and challenging oneself to learn more and connecting with other people. The 5 Ways to Wellbeing are reinforced where ever possible and revisted in assemblies and in displays around the school.
Many of our children have limited access to, and experinece of their local environment as well as the wider context of the United Kingdom. We want our children to learn about the diversity of the UK in terms of its people and physical environment. We want children's school experience to be enriched by a diverse range of activity that compliment and enrich the curriciulum learning experineces.
